"Pumpkin Patch"

Yesterday we went to Mother's Nature Farm on baseline between gilbert and stapley...it was so much fun! I went with some girls from school and we got to decorate pumpkins, go on a hay ride, feed the animals, go on a corn maze, they have a bouncy thing, and we finished off the day with a picnic! It was lots of fun...I am starting to think that halloween is one of my favorite holidays or I think it is just the holidays in general that I love. I love the holidays with my girls we have been decorating the house, making halloween cookies and cupcakes... I love seeing the excitment in their eyes and that is what yesterday was filled with. I am thankful for my role as their mother.

I LOve Him, I Love Him, I LOVE HIm

Have you guys seen Dan in Real Life.... loved it!(thats what inspired the title)Anyways as I've been changing things around a little bit, giving my blog a little lift!I have been listening to all the cute love songs especially the one by Taylor Swift and I have been thinking about Justin. Yesterday he came home and said, "Jen, I wrote you a love note," and I got all excited and he said, "but I left it at work!" So its a good technique whether on purpose or by accident because I am still anxiously awaiting my LOVE Note!! So back to Justin I have to tell you that he is absolutely amazing. The whole nursing school thing has been a struggle because my first priority in life, the most important thing to me is to be a mom, so as nice as it is to be in school and be living another one of my many dreams, I still miss my girls more than anything, but Justin from the beginning has given me his support 100%! He really gives me wings and lets me fly, and cheers me on from the sidelines. I love him because he makes me laugh when I need a good laugh but is also there to hold me when I can't stand on my own. He calls me princess and I really believe he means it with every fiber in my being.As we were dating I told my mom we were "just friends" because we are we are best friends, well I guess you could say friends with "benefits" eternal benefits if you know what I mean. I love you Justin and I hope you know you are my everything.Love your JenJen

Worrying!!

As a mom I find it hard not to worry! As Lindsay is learning to ride her bike it is hard to just stand back and watch her scrape her knees over and over! And even worse the cars go way too fast in our neighborhood...Another worry I have is the economy, like everyone else I am sure, but today as I was studying I found a quote and have been thinking about it all morning it is from Richard L. Evans "When we worry, we are less efficient;we contribute to the cause and slow down the cure" I love it because it is true fear and worry can paralyze us and not allow us to reach our potential...just "deep thoughts by Jen"....

I'm a big kid now

So Lindsay's training wheels on her bike were not even and they were really bugging me. So thursday I just took them off.... and Lindsay took off! She yelled in pure amazement "I can't believe I can do it with no training wheels!"I don't have a pic yet but this is a capture of one of her smiles!Yeah Lindsay, Mommy is proud of you. No more diapers and no more training wheels! Life is good :)

General Conference

I have to say that this weekend was amazing! Just what I needed, a huge spiritual boost. What a blessing it is to hear from a living prophet that speaks as a mantel for God. In between the sessions on Sunday on the BYU channel they had a program on President Monson and it was awesome, he is an amazing man. The spirit bore witness to me once again that he is the prophet called to serve at this time. I am thankful for the talks that were given and for the renewed peace I feel in these perilous times. I remember as a kid, well lets be honest probably till I was 18 I didn't love conference like I do now. Funny how things change...with perspective!

Potty Training Round 2

So I will have to say the long dreaded duty of potty training another child has been much easier that expected!! Tatum pretty much made her mind up that she was gonna do it and she has done an awesome job!I really feel like I can't take much credit. I have been much more patient but she hasn't had many accidents, so I don't know if that really counts! I am just counting it as a huge blessing. Yeah Tatum, Mommy is very proud of you!

Oh, to be a kid again! To ride in a barbie jeep... I absolutely love their exressions! Pure Joy and Excitement.

7th in the State Baby

 

So my cute little sister Emily who is a freshman and only 14 got pulled up by the Mountain View track coach for the last couple of their track meets. She qualified for state and she did amazing in the long jump. She jumped her personal best which was 16 feet 9 inches and got 7th in the state. And they say white men can't jump!! She is an unbelievable athlete. She also made varsity cheer as a sophmore. I love Emily so much and am so proud to be her big sister! I think she is amazing....

Sisters by chance, Friends by choice

 

So my sister is one of my most favorite peole to be around in this entire world. She is absolutely amazing and I look up to her so much. She came down this weekend for Mother's Day! I am always so bummed when she has to go home. She s a ray of sunshine that brightens my life. I love her to pieces, she is the best.

Yeah, I got a new Camera that I have absolutely fallen in love with. I have been wanting a nice camera for a long time! Every mom I talk to that has one loves it. I love candid shots of my kids and for the past couple days I have just followed them around catching great moments. I loved this pic, Lindasy said "Mom that's awesome". I feel like this is such a precious time in our lives raising two small girls that are exploring the world one amazing thing at a time and I don't want to miss capturng those moments!! So enjoy. I'm Back, Hey It's only been 7 mths!!

I bet this picture will make you laugh! This is my sweet Tatum that loves to make messes!! She keeps me very busy! I know, I know most of you are probably freaking out that I'm posting.I could give you some good excuses for not posting but let's be honest I guess I've just been a slacker!!

Lindsay stays busy with dance on Tuesday mornings with her cousin Livvy and preschool on Thursday mornings with her favorite Miss Leslie!!

Let's see exciting news about us, I have a job interview tomorrow at Banner Gateway for a CNA position and I finished my pre req's for nursing school and am officially on the waiting list.

Justin is leaving Elite Pc and starting at University of Phoenix on Monday the 11th! He is going to finish up his long lost accounting degree! He is so close and now he can finish for free. He says he is excited to be doing just one job instead of 20.

So there's a seven month catch up! Oh yeah I have a new adorable nephew Krew that I need to post pictures of & also Brandon got married so I will definately be posting those pics!!
Well, Hopefully I didn't lose all my blogging friends, I'll do better I promise!!

Jen Update

I thought I would explain my crazy new adventure of running a marathon! Yes I am going to do it, all 26.2 miles. And let me tell you, if I can do it anyone can do it. It is funny to look back and see where it all began. I started by running one mile without stopping around the track, after Tatum was born and it nearly killed me. Now I probably put in between 20-25 miles a week. I have been training now for a little over four weeks now. We use a free training program on www.halhigdon.com, we run t/w/th and long runs on sat. There are two girls in my ward that are training with me. I absolutely love running... it is weird to say that, and you probably all think I am crazy, but I have found it to be one of the most fulfilling things I do.It is great to have my own time to run and free my mind from the day to day stresses of life. Well I will keep everyone updated and maybe I'll talk someone into doing the Pf chang marathon in January!!

Lindsay Update

This is Linday's new friend Alexa she lives across the street from us. They have lots of fun together and Lindsay took her to church with her. I'm very proud of her.

This picture says it all, her two loves horses and her aunt Ashley who also loves horses. They are two peas in a pod. Their little relationship is so cute. Ashley has been gone for two weeks and Lindsay is really excited for her to come home tomorrow.

Tatum Update

Last night Lindsay went to bed early and Justin went somewhere so it was just Tatum and I.It was fun just being with her one on one. I decided I would just follow her around and take pictures, she loves to smile for the camera! I caught a couple of her new favorite things to do. She loves climbing up on stuff like storage boxes and she loves standing by herself and taking steps and everyone clapping for her. It was fun being with her... she has such a fun personality, she is like my little sister Amanda, she loves everything about life.

When you say you love me.........

Justin made my day yesterday, I was so bummed that he was going to be at work when I got home from camp, after 5 DAYS. I was really excited to see my girls but I'll be honest I missed Justin more than anything. He totally blew me away! I was amazed. He left me a card telling me that he had gotten 3 dozen roses even though it looked like only one the other 2 dozen were hidden around the house. Each one had a note of something special I do for the family. 24.... It was awesome. Justin is an amazing husband. I am so blessed to have him in my life for eternity. He is my everything.

Girls Camp

So I've taken a long break from the blogging world but I thought my last adventure would be fun to write about. So being gone from my husband and girls for 5 days was so hard. I cried a couple of times after calling home, but I wouldn't have traded that experience for anything. It was sooo awesome. It brought back lots of fun memories of girls camp. I have a great group of girls that I love and had so much fun with. I'll explain the pictures that I posted. The first is the "hoe down" that we had. It was really just a stake dance with just girls. It was awesome. I totally came out of my comfort zone and danced the night away. The next picture is of me doing a cart wheel so that our cabin could get our light bulbs back. The ycl's pranked us. The last picture is some of the girls on the first day just chillin. Good Times. Although I had alot of fun the best part was the spirit that I felt while I was there. I was able to strengthen my testimony and my relationship with my Heavenly Father.

My New Room & Bathroom

Yeah, my new Shabby Chic Room. I looove it. Target was having an awesome sell and Justin and I had fun going to three targets to find everything... we are still looking for more pillows...a work in progress.

Our Fun Aunt Jacy and Uncle Todd

Jacy came over to play raquetball and ended up babysitting for us... She is such a sweetheart. It was alot of fun even though Justin beat me! It was nice to spend time with each other! Our alone time is limited :)Todd came to pick Jacy up and we snapped a pic. Don't you love Tatums silky pajamas! Mimi is the best...She buys lots of cute things.
